Features: This study focuses on the exploration of fundamental theories and methods. Based on the distribution patterns of different climate zones in China, several representative counties (cities) in the major agricultural regions of eastern China were selected as research and experimental bases. The land productivity of different crops in each region and its interaction with environmental factors were analyzed. A comprehensive research approach combining crop experiments, system dynamic simulation, and mathematical statistical analysis was adopted, supported by FAO's AEZ (Agricultural Ecological Zone) method, GIS (Geographic Information System), etc. This aimed to create and establish crop productivity assessment methods and land production potential models suitable for China's conditions. The comprehensive production capacity of agricultural resources and population carrying capacity in the demonstration area were analyzed, and sustainable land use models for different climate zones in China were explored. Specific approaches and countermeasures for the sustainable use of land resources in different climate zones of China were investigated, with the goal of providing scientific evidence and decision-making support for the rational development and utilization of land resources in different regions of China.
