Renowned General's Military Strategy: Xu Xianqian's Military Strategy

Author: Zhang Lu
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-11-01
Features: Dedicated to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the military rank of the People's Liberation Army of China. Xu Xianqian is a famous proletarian political leader and military strategist, one of the founders and leaders of the People's Liberation Army. An elderly man who fought alongside him for half a century evaluated him as: A loyal Marxist with a firm communist belief, unyielding, and ever-zealous in battle. Many materials in this book are taken from the memoirs "Retrospection on History." This is not only because of the reliability and authority of the materials, but also because this memoir is vivid, lifelike, highly personalized, and many of its discussions are quite profound and incisive. In the face of these recollections and arguments by the veteran leader, it seems that all other discussions are redundant. The author's work is merely to organize these materials (including other historical works and data such as the history of the Red Fourth Front Army) and attempt some analysis and commentary. Strictly speaking, this book belongs to the category of edited compilation. I believe this book will definitely become your good teacher and friend.
