Features: In the autumn of 2004, the Information Network and High-Tech Committee and the Chongqing Lawyers Association jointly held the "Practical Symposium on Network and Telecommunications Law." Scholars, government officials, professional lawyers, and industry professionals gathered to share insights on telecommunications law legislation, the protection of information network transmission rights, online games and virtual property, and the legal protection of computer software. In the early summer of 2005, the committee, in collaboration with the Law School of Guizhou Normal University, hosted the "Symposium on Telecommunications Law and the Protection of Traditional Knowledge in the Era of E-commerce." This conference was held in response to UNESCO's initiative to strengthen the protection of traditional knowledge in the information age. The event was equally lively, with participants engaging in extensive discussions on the intersection of e-commerce and the protection of traditional knowledge, which also led to some highly valuable insights. This book is a collection of the outcomes from these two conferences.
