Our ancestors and sages, inspired by the spirit of the era, regarded "exploring the unknown, connecting the past and present, and forming a unique perspective" as the mission of historians. It seems that among all the myriad things, only "history" matters most. Even in the modern era of disciplinary specialization, the grand edifice of history has been divided into many sub-disciplines, but as the foundation of modern humanities and social sciences, history still holds an unshakable position. History is a discipline that requires talent, yet it is also a field that demands foolishness—such as sitting on cold benches. However, people who possess both talent and foolishness are rare in the world. The articles we publish may strive to showcase a touch of talent in some aspects; yet we are not afraid to bravely offer a bit of foolishness in others.
