New Philosophy: First Issue

Features: The term "philosophy" is often used by philosophers with a sense of pride in different contexts. Philosophical knowledge has always been "incommensurate" and "uncertain," to the point where it seems that no problem can be said to have been definitively solved. Philosophers are often overly ambitious, impractical, and relentlessly undermine each other. This is the norm of philosophy that even ambitious, arrogant, and self-important philosophers have to reluctantly admit. Anyone who feels discouraged by philosophy or condemns philosophers for these reasons is likely to win people's understanding and sympathy. This is the first issue of the New Philosophy series. We dare not have too high expectations and are willing to accumulate bit by bit with everyone. The insightful vision of Elephant Publishing House, the support of our mentors, and the assistance of our friends finally enabled us to take this step. This issue includes six relatively independent discussion topics. "Nature, Humanity, and the Community of the World" not only focuses on the relationship between nature and humanity but also explores the possibility of thinking about a "community of the world" through this connection. The intention of "New Philosophy" and the editorial work, which are a challenge for us who are not good at this, have been accepted with humility. When we sincerely embrace the ancient saying "To listen to all sides will make you wise," perhaps we can endure this challenge.
