Features: Due to the rapid development of agriculture, issues such as soil erosion, declining soil productivity, agricultural product and environmental pollution, and ecological damage have attracted widespread attention worldwide. The main cause of these problems is the intensive management of agriculture, which relies on single crop varieties and the excessive application of chemical fertilizers, creating favorable conditions for the outbreak of pests and diseases. People develop pesticides to control pests and diseases, but harmful organisms often have high population growth potential and can quickly develop resistance. In the absence of natural enemies, pests and diseases can rebound, forcing people to use more pesticides, which gradually reduces agriculture's resistance to pests and diseases and its stability. Moreover, people have fallen into a vicious cycle of excessive pesticide use and dependence on them. Residues of fertilizers and pesticides remain in the soil and enter rivers, lakes, and seas through water flow, polluting the soil and water bodies, leading to a series of economic losses in agriculture and non-agricultural sectors, as well as serious environmental concerns. This book is divided into ten chapters to introduce an overview of environmental agriculture abroad, hoping to provide some references for the construction of the socialist new rural economy and sustainable economic development. The main content of this book includes: an overview of environmental agriculture abroad; agricultural use of solid waste abroad, treatment and utilization of livestock and poultry manure, and other aspects of environmental agriculture abroad.
