"Architectural Feng Shui—Real Estate Architectural Feng Shui Planning Guide" is the result of the authors' hard work, Wang Bingzhong and Song Baoquan. Architectural Feng Shui is the art of selecting and managing living environments from the perspective of architectural Feng Shui, and it is a science that studies how buildings can bring auspicious effects to the people living within them. It is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Traditional Chinese culture is long-standing, profound, and vast, creating a splendid and unparalleled ancient Chinese civilization. Architectural Feng Shui holds an extremely important position in ancient Chinese architecture and enjoys a high reputation. Chinese Feng Shui, Chinese Architecture, and Chinese Landscape Architecture together form the three pillars of ancient Chinese architectural theory, making architectural Feng Shui the soul of traditional Chinese architecture. Architectural Feng Shui effectively connects with real estate development, providing the necessary guarantee for creating ideal healthy and ecological homes. Currently, there is no authoritative book on architectural Feng Shui and real estate planning in China or abroad, leading to a mix of theory and practice in Feng Shui planning, where science and superstition intertwine. Therefore, it can be said that "Architectural Feng Shui—Real Estate Architectural Feng Shui Planning Guide" will play a role in clarifying and correcting the field of architectural Feng Shui in real estate planning. Wang Bingzhong is an expert and scholar in architectural Feng Shui with a solid foundation in Feng Shui theory and extensive experience in Feng Shui planning. Song Baoquan is a real estate developer with years of experience in real estate development and high-end real estate comprehensive planning, ensuring the readability, practicality, scientificity, and modernity of their work. They have also created a new model of collaboration between cultural figures and entrepreneurs in modern cultural creation. Reading through this book, I find it has the following characteristics:
1. Scientificity. The book maintains a scientific attitude throughout, discarding unhealthy and esoteric elements.
2. Accessibility. It is understandable even for those unfamiliar with architectural Feng Shui.
3. Practicality. Real estate developers and architectural planning professionals can directly use it to guide practice.
4. Modernity. It discards the corrupt and ignorant aspects of traditional culture, closely integrating traditional culture with modern needs.
5. Systematicity. It places architectural Feng Shui planning within the broader system of real estate comprehensive planning, avoiding the narrow-minded approach of discussing Feng Shui in isolation. It is believed that this book will play a guiding and enlightening role for real estate developers, real estate planning and design professionals, as well as researchers, enthusiasts, and buyers of Feng Shui and architectural Feng Shui. Under the guidance of the Party Central Committee's cultural policies of "Let a hundred flowers bloom and let a hundred schools of thought contend" and "Using the old to serve the new," with the further deepening of reforms in various fields of China, traditional Chinese culture, such as architectural Feng Shui, has also seen new development. Integrating tradition with modernity and serving economic construction and the revitalization of the motherland are important missions for traditional culture workers. Research on architectural Feng Shui and other traditional Chinese cultures is a long-term task. To fully align architectural Feng Shui with contemporary technology, there is still a long way to go, requiring the unremitting efforts of future generations. Finally, I wish that "Architectural Feng Shui—Real Estate Architectural Feng Shui Planning Guide" can guide and plan beautiful homes that benefit people's healthy living, and to some extent, truly become a guide for real estate development and planning.
