Features: The rejuvenation of a nation requires a strong economic foundation, but it must also be accompanied by cultural and intellectual brilliance. As the cream of the crop, Peking University students should have grand ambitions and broad perspectives. During their time at university, they should lay a solid foundation and prepare themselves to make their due contributions to the revitalization of China's economy and culture in the next century. In this spirit, on the occasion of Peking University's centennial anniversary, the China Economic Research Center initiated and organized the "Peking University Centennial Celebration Economics Lecture Series." They invited distinguished leaders from the business community, academia, and government economic management departments from around the world to deliver lectures at Peking University, sharing their insights, research findings, and professional experiences with the university's faculty and students. Most of the lectures in this series were conducted in English. Regardless of whether they were originally delivered in English or Chinese, the chapters presented in this book are compiled based on the recorded audio and written manuscripts of each speaker. The order of the chapters follows the actual dates of the speakers' presentations.
