Features: The theme of this book was formed through the author's long-standing contemplation. As early as when assisting with research projects, driven by a deep passion for China's reform, the author has been pondering the significance of reform: what it means for the people, what it means for law, and what it means for administrative law. Responsible scientific workers are all committed to pouring their hearts into the changes brought about by China's reform. Some say that China's transformation has gone through three stages: the literary revolution, which ignited people's enthusiasm and began to awaken the thoughts of those long constrained by the planned economy, breaking through the shackles of the spirit; the economic revolution, which deconstructed the "political era," shifting people's standards of judgment, replacing concepts like birth and status with those of interest and efficiency; and the social revolution, which triggered all-round, deep-seated thinking, with the stone thrown into the "economic pool" affecting society at large, expanding China's reform to the entire society. In the author's view, the next round is the revolution of law, and the author is facing the reconstruction of social order, which is the responsibility bestowed upon law by the times.
