Features: With growing attention to the "National Classics Enlightenment Movement," classic reading materials for this genre have become wildly popular across the country. Authorities believe it is very necessary to compile a set of books specifically for preschool children in this category. The "National Classics Little Workshops" presented to you are a new series of books we launched based on this consideration. The first volume of this series includes four classic learning materials for young children: "Three-Character Classic," "Hundred Family Surnames," "Thousand-Character Classic," and "Disciples' Rules." These are all classic works widely favored by parents and have a very positive impact on children's intellectual development and personality formation, and have always been valued in Chinese family education. During the organization and writing process, we focused on ensuring the accuracy of the book content and provided phonetic annotations, explanations, and translations as much as possible to facilitate your guidance in teaching children. Considering the reading habits of young readers, we hired painters to create full-color illustrations for this series to enhance reading interest. Additionally, a VCD with children's voice narration is included as a supplementary aid for young readers' learning and recitation. Each page of this book is accompanied by full-color illustrations closely related to the text, aiming to help young readers understand the meaning. Considering the historical context and the actual situation of young readers, the illustrations do not strictly adhere to historical facts when paired with the text. For example, before the Eastern Han Dynasty, paper books did not exist in China; instead, bamboo and wooden slips were used. However, the illustrations in this book still depict paper books directly. If the flags and books illustrated in the book were strictly described according to historical facts, they should all be traditional Chinese characters, but we did not handle them this way. Except for a few places where traditional characters are used, the majority are marked as simplified characters. To prevent confusion among readers due to similar situations in this book, we specially provide this explanation. The brush and ink should follow the times, respecting tradition without rigidly adhering to it. This approach is considered appropriate. It is hoped that everyone understands and appreciates this.
