Features: To provide a richer collection of illustrations and textual materials on couplet calligraphy for researchers, creators, and enthusiasts of couplet calligraphy both at home and abroad, we spent over two years carefully selecting 500 works of couplet calligraphy from history and editing this series, "Classics of Chinese Couplet Calligraphy." The series is organized into five volumes, each focusing on one script style: Seal Script, Clerical Script, Regular Script, Running Script, and Cursive Script. Each volume contains 100 selected works, titled "Seal Script Hundred Couplets," "Clerical Script Hundred Couplets," "Regular Script Hundred Couplets," "Running Script Hundred Couplets," and "Cursive Script Hundred Couplets." The couplet calligraphy works included in this series not only consider the readability of the literary content but also emphasize the diversity of the calligraphic art forms. Most of the works are renowned masterpieces from the Ming and Qing dynasties, while selected works by modern and contemporary calligraphers are also included, as well as appropriate selections of works by elderly calligraphers of the present era. The goal is to systematically and comprehensively compile and gather the best couplet calligraphy works from masters of all ages, offering readers a rich and varied collection.
