Features: If a teacher can spark students' interest and make them love the course, then the teacher has already completed 70% of the teaching task, and the remaining 30% becomes easier. Conversely, if students fear and dislike the course, it means the teacher has failed 100%. The key to primary school English teaching is to stimulate students' interest in English classes. When students fall in love with English, they will learn proactively. With initiative, they may learn creatively and achieve success. "Seashell English" focuses on stimulating students' interest in English in both its content and methods. Each unit of this textbook consists of four parts: textbook drama, sentence pattern practice, daily expressions, and fun palace. Among these four parts, the textbook drama is the core. The teaching of textbook drama must be conducted through performance—performances are required for new lessons and even more so for review lessons. Every line of dialogue must be delivered with expression and action. For example, when teaching "I’m a wolf" (), students should imagine how to perform the fierce appearance and cruel nature of a wolf. Consider holding a class-wide performance action design competition to see who can perform the most vivid and brilliant portrayal. Allow students' performances to have appropriate exaggeration. For instance, after saying "I’m a wolf," they can howl and show their teeth. However, never let students memorize the text like an old monk reciting scriptures without performing—doing so will inevitably lead to failure. Sentence pattern practice and daily expressions can also be performed. For example, "I’m strong" () can be performed with an upright posture, clenched fists, and a confident expression. Even abstract concepts like "I’m clever" () can be performed. Some students might roll their eyes to show cleverness, while others might spin their index fingers around their heads or point to their brains and raise their thumbs. While teachers should design expressions and actions when preparing lessons, the wisdom of the crowd is boundless. Allowing students to fully unleash their creativity will yield better teaching results.
