Bao is a little polar bear who loves adventure and exploration and longs for friendship and comfort. He connects with children in the real world. Bao has many adventures, including sneaking into a scientist's laboratory, traveling to the sky with an explorer's balloon, being taken to the city by a fishing boat, boarding a transcontinental train to escape a heavy snowstorm, and wandering through ports and tropical islands on the backs of whales or walruses. Each adventure, Bao meets a new friend, such as a little rabbit, a little tiger, a little Eskimo dog, a little puffin, a little cat, and a little brown bear. The lovable Bao enjoys helping his friends and understands mutual support in times of trouble.
