Features: Fables are not unique to China, but due to the influence of different national, cultural, and political factors across various countries and eras, fables from different nations often exhibit distinct characteristics. Some Chinese fables reflect the voices of oppressed and exploited people in ancient times, as they often express their dissatisfaction with social phenomena through the form of fables. Therefore, these fables can be said to be a vivid depiction of Chinese history. Additionally, a significant portion of Chinese fables reflects the ancient people's understanding of nature, society, and things, embodying the knowledge and wisdom of the ancients. Reading these fables not only helps us understand the past but also provides insights into the present. This book selects 300 representative fables from the perspective of middle and primary school students' learning and appreciation, featuring lively, thought-provoking, and iconic stories. Through the students' favorite story format, accompanied by precise annotations, philosophical insights, and elegant illustrations, the fables are presented in a three-dimensional manner to readers. For convenience, the arrangement is organized in pinyin order. Furthermore, fables that appear in middle and primary school textbooks are marked with quotation marks. We hope this book not only brings joy and enjoyment to young readers as they engage with meaningful and entertaining stories but also becomes a classic in inheriting the essence of Chinese culture. It aims to help young friends improve their ability to use the mother tongue, broaden their horizons, cultivate their character, and enrich their historical knowledge.
