Features: "Chatter Stories" is a column introduced by the children's program "Seven Colors" of the Beijing Television Station Youth and Children's Center. It features two rather unorthodox puppet parrots, Lao and He-ma, telling historical stories to children. The format is lively, interspersed with some witty banter, blending the styles of crosstalk and storytelling, making it very appealing to children. Now, it has taken a step further, transforming the witty banter into comic strips. The program's directors have used many metaphors to describe this attempt: "New bottle, old wine" — the wine is good, a nourishing wine, but the packaging is too outdated. If you change it to a frosted or glass bottle, people will be willing to buy it. "Sugar-coated pills" — the pills cure, but they can be bitter, so children are reluctant to take them. Once sugar-coated, they become snacks that children happily eat. "Nutrition fast food" — it's fast food, convenient and clean, yet beneficial to eat. It doesn't lack in calories, taste, or nutrition.
