Yao Ling sets out to find the "Dream Book," which was accidentally dropped into the human world, and lands on the ground (human world). By chance, she meets a boy named Hyunsoo. The two embark on a journey together to find traces of the "Dream Book," experiencing many various events along the way. During this process, they discover the true meaning of friendship and the love of the human world. They organize various extracurricular interest groups at their school, but due to a book demon in the library, no child is willing to join the book collection group. Only Jiang Xian joins the book collection group out of gratitude for the teacher's concern for him.
Since their search for the "Dream Book" fails, Yao Ling and Laipisu, Dundenpig, develop conflicts. However, when the Dagu learn of the book's location again, they unite and take action. Meanwhile, the Nodu brothers arrive. They and Yao Ling and the others instinctively hide in the book delivery boxes. These boxes are delivered to the school library, where another battle ensues. Although Yao Ling ultimately defeats the Nodu brothers with magic and seizes the book, she sadly discovers it is not the "Dream Book" she was searching for.
At Jiang Xian's house, due to a heavy rainstorm overnight, the father and son begin to sort through the wet books the next day. At this moment, a sugar vendor passes by and unintentionally takes away Dad's art book. When Yao Ling buys sugar, she discovers the art book with a bow. However, the Nodu brothers are also tracking Yao Ling to this location.
