Features: Did the sound of me spreading butter bother you? — Linus's success is good, but it's not fun. Behind every excited success story, there are thousands of failures comforting themselves with jokes. — Charles M. Schulz
"The world of Peanuts has a few eternal themes, the most enduring of which is hopeless love. The second is the resolution of problems, which are achieved through the prophetic wisdom of a group of elementary school students." — Laura Filreis
"Schulz infused the thoughts of the masses into a group of children, reminding us that while children's wounds are fresh, we possess the abilities of adults and can heal pain through humor. If we laugh at the daily struggles of these adorable children and realize that we are already adults from their concerns, we can release ourselves." — Schulz Museum website
Peanut, who loves pranks, is in trouble this time — as he tries to learn to meow with a silly grin, the more he laughs, the scarier he looks. Suddenly, his entire body disappears, leaving only a row of crescent-shaped teeth hanging in the air! The Peanuts world is now filled with the mysterious element of invisible people. When the confused Woodstock, nervous and returning to the doghouse roof, Peppermint Patty tries his old tricks again, but trouble arises: his disappearing body can no longer be restored. When Peppermint Patty shouts "Don't call the fire department," a huge wave of water falls from the sky, flooding his teeth! Peppermint Patty still can't find his body, and his owner, Charlie Brown, has to call in a psychologist, Lucy, for help.
Lucy remembers the method used to fix a TV with no picture — hitting it with a hand. Peppermint Patty is indeed restored to his original form. After the tyrannical Queen Lucy declares, "It's a great day to be angry," everyone around her starts suffering: she scolds Snoopy for hating her but can't find a harsh enough excuse, she mocks Charlie Brown as an "incredible square root," and after her brother Linus prepares a delicious meal for her, she screams, "I don't even want to be happy," and even the little dog Snoopy makes her so angry that she kicks him off the beanbag chair.
