Features: The "100 Chinese Buildings" series aims to systematically introduce modern architectural works completed in China, enabling both domestic and international audiences to gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the modern Chinese architectural creation gradually entering the world. It further seeks to explore the collective of Chinese architects engaged in creative endeavors. The works collected in this series are expected to concentrate and fully reflect the contributions of architects of all generations in China—young, middle-aged, and elderly—facing the fierce global competition amid the wave of reform and opening-up and urbanization. They demonstrate how these architects have overcome temporary weaknesses in architectural technology and conceptual skills, leveraging their profound cultural heritage and inclusive spirit to maintain clarity of mind and vitality in creativity. Through their efforts, they strive to produce original architectural works, taking steps in the process of localizing foreign architectural culture and internationalizing Chinese architectural culture. It is believed that a certain number of collaborative architectural works between Chinese and foreign architects will also be included in this series. This can be seen as an inevitable process of localizing foreign architectural culture and internationalizing Chinese architectural culture. With correct analysis and selection, we can continuously enrich and improve ourselves in the process of learning and competition, thereby achieving progress and transcendence.
