Features: Since ancient times, China has valued books and illustrations, recognizing the significant role of images. During the time when Xiao He entered Xianyang, he did not take gold, jade, or treasures but first took the Qin dynasty's books and records, which allowed him to understand the key points of the world. The great scholar Zheng Xuan of the Han dynasty also drew illustrations for the "Book of Songs" while explaining it. Guo Pu, a renowned scholar of the Jin dynasty, included illustrations of plants, insects, fish, and birds in his annotations for the earliest dictionary of China, the "Erya." Unfortunately, these works have not been preserved. However, we can still see many books on astronomy, geography, rituals, music, chess, and artifacts that include numerous illustrations to aid readers' understanding and enhance their interest in reading.
