Due to its scientific, knowledge-based, and ideological functions, it is hailed as the crown of the social sciences. Since the reform and opening-up, Chinese political economy has made significant progress, contributing importantly to enlightenment, the preservation of civilization, the advancement of science, and the promotion of economic reform and development. To reflect the achievements and trends of political economy research abroad, explore the history and current state of the world economy and China's economic development, promote exchanges and cooperation among political economy scholars at home and abroad, and further advance the prosperity and development of the discipline of political economy in China, the School of Economics at Renmin University of China and the School of Economics at Nankai University have decided to collaborate with China Renmin University Press to publish the series "Journal of Political Economy." The guiding philosophy of this series is: to respect the fine traditions of political economy while paying great attention to the new developments in modern economics; to focus on the development of fundamental theories while valuing the study of major theoretical and practical issues; to advocate inclusivity and seek new mainstreams in political economy through dialogue among different schools and theories; to encourage academic innovation while upholding rigorous academic standards and pursuing scholarly norms. It is hoped that the publication of this series will receive the support of academic peers and a broad readership.
