Features: The Complete Collection of Wang Xizhi's Calligraphic Works is one of the newly launched "Xiling Seal Society's Collection of Calligraphic Works" series from our press, aiming to provide a bridge for calligraphy enthusiasts to learn Wang Xizhi's style, from copying to creation. The practice of compiling calligraphic works into complete collections has a long history. The famous Tang Dynasty monk Huairong spent seventeen years compiling The Holy Teaching of Wang Xizhi, leaving behind an invaluable cultural heritage for later generations to study Wang Xizhi's calligraphy. It also serves as a shortcut for learners to effectively absorb the essence of original works from compiled pieces and improve their calligraphy skills. This book takes The Orchid Pavilion Preface by Wang Xizhi as its blueprint, adopting popular forms of poetry and couplets. It allows learners to experience the authentic brushwork and structure of Wang Xizhi's style while appreciating the beautiful artistic connotations of the verses. This enhances the interest of practice. For ease of copying and study, this collection is printed in ink (original brush traces) and enlarged, with selected characters that could not be directly compiled being reasonably combined based on relevant radicals and components, ensuring harmony with existing compiled works. The book also provides a detailed introduction to various basic forms of calligraphic creation, serving as a reference for calligraphy enthusiasts and educators. This book is written by experts with long-standing experience in calligraphy education and is expected to be highly valued and loved by the calligraphy community upon its release.
