Features: Civil Trial Guidance and Reference is edited by the Civil Trial Division of the Supreme People's Court, with Justice Huang Songyou, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, serving as the Editor-in-Chief. Since its inception, it has gradually become an important platform for exercising civil trial guidance functions and providing reference for civil trial practice. Particularly, the numerous articles analyzing Supreme People's Court second-instance cases published in the book, which are based on the final judgments of the Supreme People's Court in civil second-instance cases, fully elaborate the adjudication reasoning of the Supreme People's Court in handling related cases. These articles are characterized by rigorous logic, thorough analysis, and high authority, and have been well-received by readers. To further leverage the unique role of Supreme People's Court second-instance case analyses in civil trial guidance and reference, and to establish a long-term mechanism that meets reader needs and facilitates reading, the editors have decided to integrate and independently compile all articles analyzing Supreme People's Court second-instance cases from Civil Trial Guidance and Reference published between 2000 and 2005 into a separate book, with plans to publish it annually thereafter. During this editing process, the editors classified all the analysis articles by case type, conducted further proofreading and organization, added legal principles notes to earlier published articles, and standardized the format of the articles.
