Confucius said: "Knowing is not as good as liking, and liking is not as good as enjoying." Confucius praised the pure enjoyment that transcends utilitarianism, which is exactly what we want to offer you. The motivation behind compiling this series is to highlight the individual experiences and differences in different cultural environments, and we expect that in this process, distant geographical environments, long historical processes, and diverse cultural atmospheres will permeate and enrich each other from these experiences and differences. China and France are separated by the ocean, but both cultures are widely recognized as having a long history, rich in charm, and unique in character. Therefore, we first chose China and France as the "far" and "near" ends for intercontinental and cross-cultural dialogues between ordinary people. Each book is co-authored by one Chinese author and one French author on the same theme simultaneously, attempting to connect the lives and experiences of two completely different ordinary people, achieving mutual reference and communication. This design is unprecedented in both China and France. We are pleased to see that this design has sparked interest among young people as well as older ones in both China and France. More volumes will be published in the future.
