Features: This book is divided into three parts: Basic Theory, Clinical Practice, and Research. The Basic Theory section systematically reviews the origins of Traditional Chinese Medicine's understanding of cardiovascular diseases, etiology and pathogenesis characteristics, diagnosis and differential diagnosis from a modern medical perspective, characteristic treatment principles, and treatment methods. The Clinical Practice section lists diseases according to modern medical classifications, emphasizing the understanding of each disease within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine theory while reflecting new concepts, theories, and technologies as much as possible. In diagnosis and differential diagnosis, it incorporates contemporary laboratory and other (supportive examinations) while adopting new diagnostic criteria. In terms of treatment, it highlights Traditional Chinese Medicine's syndrome differentiation therapy while also extensively collecting specialized formulas and medications for the disease from modern research. Naturally, considering the severity of cardiovascular diseases, modern medical disease-specific treatment, emergency care, and symptomatic treatment are also included, particularly integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (TCM-WM) treatment. It strives to combine the respective strengths of TCM and Western medical systems in the treatment process or in specific stages, making it practical and easy to implement. The Research section focuses on key and challenging issues in the integrated TCM-WM diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, incorporating new research findings or methods to provide insights for future work.
