Comparative Education (Third Edition) Self-Study General University Liberal Arts Textbook

Author: Wang Chengxu
Publisher:
Publish Date: 1999-12-01
Features: The Comparative Education was first published in 1982, and the second edition in 1985 was revised slightly. Over the past decade, significant changes have occurred in international politics and economics, and many new ideas, plans, and experiences in education have emerged in various countries. Therefore, it is necessary to revise this book. The purpose of this revision is to serve as a textbook for undergraduate students, focusing only on content updates without expanding the volume. Based on the original six developed countries, China is added as a comparative research subject, aiming to reflect the new experiences in world education development and reform since the 1980s. When we revised this book, several veteran colleagues who participated in the writing of the first edition have passed away. They are Zhu Bo, Tan Renmei, and Gong Shusen. They made their due contributions to the establishment of the comparative education discipline in China, and we deeply cherish their memory. There are also many colleagues who have retired and could not participate in this revision, but their hard work in writing the first edition, which is the first comparative education textbook in New China, will never be forgotten.
