"Reading and Writing Course" adopts an integrated approach to reading and writing. The reading section features carefully selected materials, emphasizing the model nature, practicality, and contemporary relevance of the language. The writing section not only focuses on combining writing skills with reading materials but also provides specific guidance on writing practical English texts. The exercises in both reading and writing are of moderate difficulty and emphasize active application.
"Translation Course" follows the principle of "simple and practical," guiding graduate students in translation knowledge and skills by focusing on understanding the source text and expressing the target text in translation. The materials used in the theoretical examples and translation practice sections are vivid and practical, with concise language that clearly illustrates translation principles and techniques.
"Listening and Speaking Course" employs communicative teaching methods to integrate listening and speaking training. The materials are fresh, rich in content, and cover daily life, customs, and cultural backgrounds in the UK, the US, and other countries. The audio materials are mostly recorded on-site, with clear pronunciation and natural pacing. Listening exercises focus on training students to master common expressions for specific language functions and topics, while speaking exercises are easy to learn, progressing from simple to complex and varying in format.
"Watching and Speaking Course" uses situational teaching methods to integrate "audio-visual" and "speaking" interactive training. Based on the learning characteristics and goals of graduate students, 16 units of video materials have been meticulously produced. The language materials in the videos are vivid and rich, with a strong sense of exotic culture and a contemporary feel. The materials are organized with the student at the center, following the teaching format of "audio-visual—imitation—explanation—audio-visual—demonstration." The original video language materials are simplified and guided for active application.
"Self-Learning Reader" adopts a synchronized approach with the main textbooks, covering both comprehensive and in-depth training of basic skills. The "Guidance" section provides dual guidance on the general application and examination of English, highlighting difficulties, focusing on relevance and inspiration, and serving as a guide for extracurricular learning to compensate for the shortcomings of classroom learning due to various reasons. The "Practice" section emphasizes examination techniques for language knowledge.
