Flash MX 2004 is a multimedia production tool released by Macromedia. In terms of software versions, the new Flash MX provides more ActionScript elements compliant with ECMA standards and replaces the ActionScript elements from older versions (Flash 6 or earlier) that are no longer recommended. However, the Flash Player still supports these discouraged elements. Given this, we have obtained the copyright for the book Flash MX 2004 ActionScript Syntax Reference Dictionary.
To facilitate learning, nearly every command in this book is accompanied by examples. The author has specifically broken down the examples into statement examples and application examples. First, readers learn the usage of commands through statement examples, then see practical program content demonstrating the application of syntax, and finally, the results of the examples are presented with illustrations to help readers fully grasp the essence of the syntax. Additionally, the accompanying CD-ROM includes the book's example files and e-books for chapters 44–52, for reference by the readers.
