Features: A person from all directions, a seal of Liu Guosong, is also the lower couplet of a couplet he wrote: "A few paintings of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, one person from east, west, south, and north." This was his definition of his life: He was a northern person but grew up in the south; he was an eastern person but became famous in the west. He, through painting, roamed between east and west, north and south, creating a colorful and beautiful world in his life! Liu Guosong, as his name suggests, should be like a pine tree, deeply rooted. He grew up and flourished in the soil of his hometown. However, looking back at his life, it was forced to unfold a drifting journey under the turmoil of war. His childhood was turbulent, his youth was one of exile, and his adulthood was a struggle to achieve success in distant lands. For his exhibitions, he traveled far and wide, experiencing joy and harvest. The only thing like a pine tree was his tenacious vitality, just like the pines of Huangshan Mountain. Whether in low-lying, dark valleys, or on steep slopes facing the wind, or in small crevices, or on cliffs and rocks, or on perilous peaks like a pen tip, he could survive in adversity and thrive. Now, looking back at his life, he deeply realizes that Liu Guosong, as his name suggests, in the realm of art, he is a sturdy pine that never withers in harsh winters, and more like a solitary pine that blooms brilliantly on Huangshan Mountain. Tall and elegant, he stands alone, a single branch shining brilliantly.
