Features: The College English Test Band 4 (CET-4) and College English Test Band 6 (CET-6) are national standardized tests organized and administered by the College English Testing Committee of the Ministry of Education. Starting from December 2006, the national CET-4 unified examination will fully adopt the new CET-4 test format. The new sample questions have made significant modifications to the original format. The proportion of the listening section has been greatly increased, rising from 20% to 35%, with the compound dictation becoming a mandatory component. Additionally, longer dialogue listening has been added. The reading section's proportion has been reduced from 40% to 35%, with significant changes in the format, including the addition of rapid reading comprehension and passage-based vocabulary understanding. Passage reading comprehension has been reduced to account for only 20% of the total score. Translation from English to Chinese is no longer tested, replaced by translation from Chinese to English; error correction has been added, while vocabulary and structure tests have been removed.
