This textbook is specifically developed for the characteristics of vocational and technical education. Vocational and technical education aims to cultivate high-level applied technical specialists with a focus on grassroots work and strong hands-on skills. Therefore, professional practical teaching is a crucial component of vocational and technical education. Under this guiding principle, adjustments to the teaching plan often involve increasing the hours for specialized courses and practical courses while reducing the hours for cultural foundation courses and professional foundation courses. As a result, the hours for medical chemistry and biochemistry in most medical and health-related vocational and technical programs have been reduced, making it difficult to complete teaching tasks and causing various inconveniences in teaching. To address this, we have integrated the two courses of medical chemistry and biochemistry and compiled this textbook, with the hope of optimizing the teaching process through this approach, enabling students to acquire the "necessary and sufficient" theoretical knowledge within a limited time.
