Features: This book is a summary and generalization based on the research achievements of scholars at home and abroad, as well as the experience gained from multi-level teaching practices over the years, and the lessons drawn from the recent significant development of public policy analysis. The content framework of the book is mainly divided into three parts: Part One, which first focuses on the understanding of public policy itself, the basic content of public policy analysis, and then the analysis and understanding of the policy system. Part Two primarily emphasizes the analysis of the policy process. A complete policy process should start from the identification of a policy problem and end with its resolution, covering the entire policy cycle from the proposal and confirmation of the policy problem, policy formulation, policy implementation, policy evaluation, policy monitoring and adjustment, to policy termination. Part Three introduces the methods of policy analysis. This mainly includes the fundamentals of policy analysis and the main methods used in the policy analysis process. During the writing process, the book emphasizes both the learning and understanding of basic theories and focuses on training and mastering policy analysis and research methods in practice. As a discipline and a course, the direct purpose of studying public policy analysis should be to enhance the ability to analyze and research policies, thereby improving the quality of policy formulation and implementation, and ultimately increasing policy efficiency. This book is not only suitable as a textbook for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as MPA and other types of students in public management or related fields, but can also serve as a reference book for government management personnel participating in training and education.
