Features: When Wang Qiuyang first started climbing, she was an absolute beginner. Although she received guidance from "experts" like Wang Yongfeng, I didn’t take her passion seriously. I thought it was just about seeking a different kind of life experience, like how some people enjoy yoga or shopping. But over the years, she has gone further and higher, hiking to both the South Pole and the North Pole on foot, and plans to climb Mount Everest next year. This was truly something I never anticipated.
There is a legend about two types of birds: one with only wings, so it spends its entire life flying; and another with fully wings, which can only walk on the ground. If Wang Qiuyang is one of these birds, then most of us are the second type—the ones who have lost their wings for flying. So, we can only feel her "on the road" through her diary, her photos, and her post-adventure narratives, experiencing her wings "on the road."
This is the diary of the author and her friend Yu Lu’s road trip to Tibet from August 23 to October 10, 2005.
