Features: Each of the four books in this textbook series has a grammar focus point per lesson, along with communicative contexts where the grammar item is frequently used. This allows students to immediately apply newly learned grammar knowledge to language communication. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that students can begin to communicate in English from the first lesson. The four books contain a total of fifty lessons, covering almost all key points of English grammar—from the basic verb to be to the subjunctive in clauses after the verb wish—and these fifty grammar points are paired with fifty common communicative strategies, providing practice and application in various communicative contexts. This American English textbook for the Asia region has sold over 8 million copies. It focuses on communicative dialogues, emphasizing the coordinated development of language knowledge and communicative skills, supplemented by comprehensive training in other skills. Fully revised, it incorporates new experiences of the internet era. A new "Gazette ()" section provides up-to-date cultural information from around the world. A new "Pronunciation" and "How to Say It!" section helps students develop good pronunciation habits and improve their communicative abilities. The structure-function-based writing system is clear and easy to follow, making it convenient for teachers to teach. The teacher's book provides detailed teaching guidance and practical supplementary exercises. Upon completing the entire series, students will master 3,000 new words and phrases.
