1. Parents gradually heading to heaven
As everyone knows, at the center of the distant universe, there is a heavenly kingdom called heaven. It is said that good people who pass away will ascend to heaven and become angels, living a happy and joyful life thereafter. Life is short, and the world is changeable. Everyone will grow old one day, and children understand that parents cannot stay by their side forever. Eventually, parents will also head to heaven.
Since ancient times, parents have never hesitated to sacrifice for their children, regardless of cost or reward. The kindness they have shown their children is as vast as the sky and as deep as the earth, something that children can never repay in a lifetime. It is no wonder the ancients said, "Only when you raise a child do you understand the parents' love."
As parents grow older day by day, children grow up day by day. The world is full of the sorrow of parents' hearts. In today's world, parents always think too much about their children, while children do very little for their parents! As a result, the traditional concept of "filial piety" has changed, with the roles of parents and children reversed: children, consciously or unconsciously, become a heavy burden on their parents.
In the past, under the promotion of "moral education," filial piety was highly valued, and many filial sons and daughters emerged. Today, however, the practice of filial piety has been turned upside down, leading to the situation where the parents grow poorer while the children grow richer. Filial piety has abandoned self-reliance and independence, giving rise to "giant infants" who hinder the healthy development of the next generation and make it harder for the elderly to live out their later years in peace.
One often sighs at the cruelty of time, cruel to the point of being almost heartless. It has stolen all of parents' youth, exchanging it for their children's growth. The passage of time has bleached their black hair, leaving deep marks on their foreheads. Although it has left them with the inherent courage and strength they were born with, one cannot help but admit that parents have grown old.
The world is vast, but nothing compares to the greatness of parents' love. The effort, hardship, and love parents pour into their children cannot be expressed in words. How can children fail to practice filial piety? "Often come home to visit—whether to help mom wash chopsticks and dishes, or to rub dad's back and massage his waist. The elderly do not expect children to make great contributions to the family; they just want peace and security!" This is the true reflection of the love of parents all over the world.
If parents' love is compared to a straight line that never moves, then in childhood, we grew up under such love, with parents as our strongest pillars. As we grew older, we realized that parents were not as perfect as we had imagined. Their thoughts and interests were far removed from ours, and there were things they could not do. Thus, a generation gap emerged, and we chose to distance ourselves. As we grew older and wiser, having endured life's hardships and setbacks, we discovered that the harbor of parents was always quiet and warm. So, we drew closer.
Yet life's trials do not stop, making us more mature and composed, or even becoming parents ourselves. Only then do we understand the joy and difficulty of being a parent. We once again cling to our parents like children.
For the sake of their children, parents' sorrows are like a gentle stream formed by drops of blood and tears, quietly flowing with love and sorrow. Those passing years are like streetlights in the distance when we look back, standing tall behind us, shining brilliantly,.
