Features: China and South Korea are neighboring countries. China is the world's largest developing country, and with rapid economic growth, the vast market potential is turning into a real market. South Korea is an emerging industrial powerhouse, with remarkable catching-up and innovation capabilities. To implement the Joint Declaration, the two governments established a joint research team co-led by the Assistant Minister of Commerce of China and the Director of the Trade and Investment Bureau of South Korea. The task of the joint research team is to draft a research report on the economic and trade cooperation plan between China and South Korea for the next five years, aiming to encourage broader cooperation between enterprises of both sides and to propose policy recommendations to the two governments on measures for the comprehensive development of their economic and trade cooperation. The Development Research Center of the State Council established a research team as the representative of Chinese experts to undertake the main tasks of the joint research and organized thematic research surveys in relevant domestic departments, industry organizations, and research institutions. The authors of each chapter of this book, adhering to the spirit of mutual benefit and win-win, analyze issues from a development perspective, placing more emphasis on the policy orientation of both governments. Although due to time and professional expertise constraints, the research in some fields may not be in-depth, it can at least serve as a starting point, providing more discussion topics for individuals concerned with the development of China-South Korea economic and trade relations and committed to bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
