The book includes 164 illustrations and 160 plate illustrations. The Northern Qi Tomb of Lao Rui, Prince of Dong'an, from the 5th century, is located 1 kilometer southwest of Wangguo Village in the southern suburbs of Taiyuan City. The tomb was officially excavated in early April 1979 and concluded in January 1981, with a total of over 550 working days. A total of 848 pieces (sets) of artifacts were unearthed, including 608 various pottery figurines, which are extremely valuable. The murals in the passage and burial chamber are particularly spectacular. The murals fully reflect Lao Rui's life of military service and distinguished official status during his lifetime. The discovery of a large number of murals has attracted widespread attention from historians, archaeologists, and the art community. This report comprehensively documents these valuable murals and artifacts. To provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the murals, two large panoramic illustrations of the passage murals were specially created, offering a unique and creative perspective.
