Features: "Colorful Road," which won the First Prize in the National Second Children's Literature and Art Creation Competition, is a middle-length story that depicts the life and customs of Tibetan children and people, their yearning for a better future, and their search for the path to freedom and happiness. It has achieved remarkable success in both summarizing social life and shaping characters. The story unfolds against the backdrop of Tibet before the democratic reform and the construction of the Kangding-Tibet Highway by the Chinese army. The Tibetan teenagers, Qula, Sando, and Danzhu, decide to find the "Colorful Road" that brings happiness to the Tibetan people and embark on a difficult journey. Despite the challenges that follow one after another—such as the scorching sandy ground under the sun, the fierce snowstorms on the mountains, unbearable hunger, and even Sando contracting snow blindness—their determination to find the Colorful Road only grows stronger. Finally, with the rescue and assistance of the "Golden Pearl," they see the glowing Colorful Road and come to understand a new life. The novel successfully portrays the images of three teenagers of the same age and vividly captures their personality traits.
