Features: The transition of Chinese education from tradition to modernity is largely directly related to the influence and impact of Western education. However, this influence has not been able to block the spiritual logic of China's own evolution. Since modern times, the pursuit of modernity in our country's education has essentially been a process of replacing the traditional Chinese educational heritage with the spirit of Western modern and contemporary thought and culture. Based on an analysis of the essence of Western educational modernity and starting from the care for individual life, this book discusses the internal restrictive mechanisms and manifestations of educational tradition in the exploration of Chinese educational modernity. Using the historical facts of educational reform in modern China as a basis, it explores two dimensions: the exploration of the modernity of educational tradition and the traditional constraints on the exploration of educational modernity. Ultimately, it concludes that the exploration of Chinese educational modernity is not the addition or integration of educational tradition and Western educational modernity, but rather an ongoing expansion and innovation based on the reality of individual life existence and complete development.
