"Modern Embarrassing Incidents" was originally a post published by the author in the "Image Zone" of the Tianya Community. Its stories are endless to tell, and as you follow its journey, you won’t fail to notice its growth process: from yesterday’s lonely persistence to some day’s sudden rise. Who can guess what tomorrow will bring? There are two important factors that determined the transformation of "Modern Embarrassing Incidents" from online to printed form.
First Important Factor: Of course, it is all the readers who had once cared for, loved, and supported "Modern Embarrassing Incidents." They have always been the bread and butter of this comic and the driving force behind its persistence in creation. Without their support, this comic would not exist today. On behalf of Qiu Ke, Qiu Mei, Huai Hui, Sao Sao, the boastful old man, Baby, the bald-bearded uncle, the hair-bearded second brother, and all the supporting characters and extras who participated, the author extends the highest respect to all the lovely readers!
Second Important Factor: It is also all the noble patrons and mentors who discovered the author and helped her. It is because of their devoted love and meticulous care that more friends have had the chance to enter and share the world created by the author. Tianya Headlines went on the market with great success. A DIY calendar for 2007 and exquisite bookmarks are included with the book. This book is based on a locally original four-panel comic series that once ranked high on Tianya Headlines and gained immense popularity, with over 400,000 clicks in a short time. With its absurd and humorous style, it depicts the "embarrassing incidents" in people’s daily lives, serving as a remedy for the bored urbanites of today. Most of the content in this book was originally posted as posts in the "Image Zone" of the Tianya Community—《Modern Embarrassing Incidents》—and the stories behind these posts are truly endless. If you carefully read every piece of information, you won’t fail to notice its growth process: from yesterday’s lonely persistence to some day’s sudden rise. Who can guess what tomorrow will bring?
