Features: Non-traditional security studies have recently emerged as a hot topic internationally. In the current state of China's international relations academia, it is difficult to find a journal that does not publish discussions on non-traditional security issues, and it is equally hard to attend a seminar without encountering the topic. Even the foreign affairs department and national leaders are increasingly using concepts like "non-traditional security" to express their multifaceted concerns about the current security situation and security challenges. Alongside terms such as "harmonious world," "regional cooperation," "democratization of international relations," "multipolarity," "one superpower and many powers," "globalization," "global governance," "peaceful rise," and "peaceful development," non-traditional security has become a frequently used vocabulary in Chinese discussions about the contemporary world. Non-traditional security highlights the significance of human security, social security, and global security in the modern era, expanding the value dimensions of security studies.
