Features: Ecological issues have garnered global attention worldwide, and ecology has moved beyond its narrow and isolated academic domain, extending into various aspects of politics, economy, culture, and education. Re-examining the relationship between nature and humanity and building a sustainable society where humans and nature coexist harmoniously have become the primary challenges facing academia. The purpose of this book is to provide fundamental research resources for ecological criticism and interdisciplinary studies in ecology. The academic perspective of this book not only views ecology as a body of knowledge or discipline but, more importantly, as a concept—a new worldview, a postmodern constructive worldview. This book appropriately broadens the scope of ecological criticism, not limited to literary and artistic criticism, but also includes cultural criticism, covering fields such as ecological philosophy, ecological anthropology, ecological aesthetics, ecological theology, ecological ethics, ecological historiography, ecological literary studies, and media ecology. From the academic forests of ancient and modern China and the world, this book compiles over 500 insightful statements from scholars and experts, totaling over 1 million words. It respects the authoritative theories of masters while also paying attention to extraordinary arguments from ordinary people, ensuring the book's authority and classicism. To meet the urgent needs of current academic research, this book adopts a "quotation-style" format, balancing Eastern and Western perspectives, incorporating ancient and modern insights, distilling the essence concisely, and arranging its structure to be as practical as possible. It sincerely aims to make this collection an indispensable starting point for ecological criticism and ecological cultural studies, fostering in-depth exchanges and communication with the international ecological criticism community.
