Features: The Comparison provides an academic platform for readers on comparative institutional analysis. Standing at the forefront of theory, The Comparison selectively introduces the experiences and lessons of other countries, the theories and practices of transition economies, as well as the developments in the field of comparative research. It also focuses on introducing the design of economic reform plans, policy proposals, and reviews from domestic and international academic circles. This issue of The Comparison is tightly centered on the theme of "economic growth." When "development is the hard truth" is replaced by "harmonious development," and as China debates how to balance social equity while maintaining rapid economic growth, how to rationally utilize resources, and how to protect the environment, the question arises: Will we ignore "growth" and fall into another seemingly plausible but misguided extreme? Professor Yan Yingyi says: "Internationally, China is now enjoying unprecedented respect and attention, primarily due to its rapid economic growth. If we were to summarize China's achievements with a single number, it would be the average annual GDP growth of 9% for over 1 billion people. From a domestic political perspective, rapid economic growth is a crucial foundation for national and social stability. Under the same conditions, the faster the economic growth, the more stable the society and the more secure the regime." In China, stability and development have become a common consensus, and building a prosperous and strong modern society is a widespread aspiration. People are reluctant to disrupt the pace of China's economic development for any other goals. To this end, we explore a range of issues closely related to sustainable development from multiple levels and perspectives, including theory, policy, and international comparisons.
