Features: Information systems have evolved from C3I systems to network-integrated C4ISR systems, further developing into GIG and C4KISR systems. Real-time information transmission, intelligent information processing, and scientific decision-making support are highly integrated, making integrated information support capabilities the foundation and support for new combat capabilities. Traditional single-functional early warning and reconnaissance capabilities, mechanized firepower, and defense capabilities have developed into all-dimensional land, sea, air, space, and electronic early warning and reconnaissance capabilities, as well as precise, efficient, and intelligent information-based firepower and comprehensive, all-around defense capabilities against both soft and hard strikes, becoming the core of new combat capabilities. As combat systems become increasingly informatized and integrated, implementing system disruption and overall paralysis of enemy combat systems through information attacks has become a decisive strategic and operational strike method, making information confrontation capabilities the most distinctive independent element of new combat capabilities. The continuous enrichment and expansion of the connotation of new combat capabilities call for a profound understanding of five informatized combat capabilities: integrated information support capabilities, all-dimensional early warning and reconnaissance capabilities, informatized firepower strike capabilities, comprehensive, all-around defense capabilities, and multi-level information confrontation capabilities. We must take improving these "five capabilities" as the starting point and goal for advancing informatization development. Under the unified leadership of the Central Military Commission and General Headquarters, the entire military has formed a strong atmosphere of "thinking about informatization, learning about informatization, delving into informatization, and practicing informatization." However, due to a weaker foundation and later start, there remain numerous problems and contradictions, especially a lack of unity in thinking, insufficient depth in understanding, and inadequate thorough research, which have become the primary issues restricting the informatization development and combat capability enhancement of our armed forces. To address this, we commissioned the Information Warfare Theory Research Office of the Operational Theory and Doctrine Research Department of the Military Academy of Science to organize efforts to study the fundamental issues of informatization warfare. Based on reviewing a large volume of materials, the team of researchers dedicated themselves to in-depth study, sorting, and compiling this "Theoretical Learning Guide for Informatization Warfare."
