Features: The "History of Qing Poetry" also reveals some new research directions set by Dicang. These primarily involve expanding the research field from the perspectives of regional culture and family culture. Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, the so-called Jiangnan region, including Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, has seen its cultural dominance increasingly concentrated and elevated, with the regional characteristics of Jiangnan culture widely recognized. The culturally rooted families that have been passed down through generations are naturally important pillars supporting the foundations of Jiangnan culture. This is a crucial aspect that cannot be overlooked when studying Qing-era literature and history. Additionally, Dicang has not only engaged in vertical historical research but also plans to dedicate his efforts to horizontal case studies. In recent years, he and I have had many unrestricted long conversations, repeatedly discussing these two intentions. Several papers in this collection embody the practical application of his. Several of his doctoral students, under his guidance, are also continuing to make solid contributions in this regard.
