Features: To comprehensively improve the Chinese literacy of high school students, enhance the modern awareness of Chinese courses, and vigorously promote new learning methods, the Ministry of Education of China issued the "General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards." In the "New High School Curriculum Standards," the "40 Ancient Poems and Prose that High School Students Must Memorize" are explicitly listed. The calligraphy book "40 Ancient Poems and Prose that High School Students Must Memorize According to the New Curriculum Standards" was compiled under this background. The content of this calligraphy book is arranged in the order of the "40 Ancient Poems and Prose that High School Students Must Memorize" as specified in the "New Curriculum Standards." We have also provided exquisite illustrations and necessary annotations for each ancient poem to facilitate readers' understanding. While practicing calligraphy, students not only consolidate what they have learned but also improve their literary skills, achieving multiple benefits in one go.
The calligrapher of this book, Mr. Tian Yingzhang, is the first president of the China Calligraphy Association. He has long served as the host of calligraphy programs on China Central Television (CCTV) and possesses extensive experience in calligraphy teaching. Mr. Tian Yingzhang has held numerous positions, including senior calligrapher for the "Presidential Appointment Documents," president of the China Modern Calligraphy Research Association, president of the Ouyang Xun Calligraphy Art Research Association, director of the China Calligraphy Talent Research and Training Center of the National Personnel Ministry, and executive director of the China Calligraphy Talent Qualification Evaluation Committee. He is also a doctoral supervisor in calligraphy at Renmin University of China. Mr. Tian Yingzhang is proficient in all calligraphy styles, with his regular script being particularly representative of the highest level of calligraphy in the modern calligraphy field.
This calligraphy book ingeniously combines the three practice methods of tracing, copying, and writing. We recommend that students master certain methods when practicing calligraphy: first, trace the characters on thin paper over the book; then, copy them several times on your own paper; finally, write directly on the characters to consolidate the effects of tracing and copying. We believe that with regular, timed, and quantitative practice, perseverance will lead to the ability to write (standardized), (neat), and (beautiful) characters.
