Features: Beginners in calligraphy must start by copying ancient stele and inscriptions, striving for strokes, structures, and styles that closely resemble the originals. Once the initial copying is mastered, the desire to create one's own works often leads to failure. The transition from copying to creation is not an easy step—some may spend their entire lives failing to cross it or may go astray in the process. Selecting characters from the copied stele and inscriptions to form works is an excellent method. However, the characters in the works may not all be found in the copied stele and inscriptions, even if they are found, they cannot be pieced together to achieve harmony in size, weight, inclination, and overall coherence. For this reason, we have decided to invite experienced calligraphers to edit and publish a series of couplets and poetic works composed of characters selected from famous stele and inscriptions from various dynasties, leveraging computer image processing technology to deliver the most perfect results to readers. This poetic collection is selected from the calligraphy of Zhang Ruitu of the Ming Dynasty. In terms of brushwork, Zhang Ruitu's style is extraordinary, diverging from the traditions of Zhong Yao and Wang Xizhi, creating a unique path with dynamic, soaring brushstrokes that are highly individualistic. Therefore, compiling a collection of Zhang's characters for poetic works was also a challenging task. For this, the compilers spent months carefully selecting and comparing each character in the poems, ensuring both faithfulness to the original works and the use of strokes directly from the original inscriptions, with no substitutions. At the same time, they avoided rigid adherence, appropriately employing computer technology for adjustments, ultimately recreating the original charm. As a preliminary attempt, there are undoubtedly many shortcomings, and we sincerely hope for the readers' corrections.
