Features: Dream People is the breakthrough work of the top young manga artist Yao Feila in China. The entire work depicts the story of high school girl Li Mengling and her companions Sun Yuzhou, Guo Youyong, Wen Mo, and an American girl cowboy as they grow in their pursuit of dreams. It reflects the joys and sorrows of young men and women during their transformation, humorously showcases the rich and unique inner world of teenagers, and describes a vibrant, dreamlike youth and a life as illusory as a dream. Running for six years, it has been deeply loved by a wide readership. This volume tells the story of how a teasing about the cowboy's past life leads everyone to reflect on the past, present, and future. Sun Yuzhou, in particular, recalls his initial experience of coming to Qingyu to pursue his music dreams. Back then, he arrived with a suitcase and a guitar, but despite countless efforts, his musical aspirations seemed to grow ever more distant. To persevere or to give up? Sun Yuzhou fought alone, gritting his teeth, until one day, the friends from "Yuzhou's Home" met by the seaside.
Dream People has been adapted into an animated series by China Central Television (CCTV). It is the first large-scale youth-themed animation adapted from a domestic manga by CCTV. The theme song is performed by Zhang Hanrun, a contestant from the Super Girl competition, and the series received a strong response after its broadcast on CCTV.
