Features: What kind of great artist does a great artist like Huang Yongyu see? In this new prose collection Elderly Elders Compared to Me, the 80-year-old Huang Yongyu shares stories of the elders who are even older than himself. In this book with Huang's unique style, the "demon genius" Huang Yongyu tells us about the "elderly elders" he has met with witty and unconventional language: Qian Zhongshu, Shen Congwen, Li Keran, Zhang Leping, Lin Fengmian, Zhang Boqiu, Xu Linlu, Liao Bingxiong, Zheng Ke, Lu Zhiyao, Yu Suoya, Huang Miaozi—these star-like names illuminate the cultural sky of China from the mid-to-late 20th century to the 21st century. It's worth mentioning that both the cover inscription and the cartoon portrait of Huang Yongyu in this book are done by the old master himself. The book also includes over ten illustrations drawn by him, which are also works of art worth savoring.
