The "Regulations on Teacher Qualification" explicitly state that education administrative departments or higher education institutions entrusted with such responsibilities may require applicants with non-teacher education backgrounds to complete supplementary courses in pedagogy and psychology. The Ministry of Education's "Opinions on Several Issues Concerning the First Recognition of Teacher Qualifications": "The requirements for applicants with non-teacher education backgrounds to complete supplementary courses in pedagogy and psychology shall be formulated by provincial-level education administrative departments." In accordance with the above requirements, to guide training and examinations in pedagogy and psychology across regions and to assist applicants with non-teacher education backgrounds in learning these courses, the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, organized experts to research and formulate the "Examination Syllabus for Pedagogy" and the "Examination Syllabus for Educational Psychology," totaling six volumes, divided into three levels: primary school, secondary school, and higher education. This book is the "Examination Syllabus for Pedagogy" and is applicable to applicants for higher education teaching qualifications.
