Features: This dictionary includes over 2,950 entries on religious terminology, doctrines and schools, figures, creeds, scriptures and writings, religious institutions and personnel, rituals and festivals, as well as famous mountains, sacred sites, temples, monasteries, churches, mosques, etc. The main body of the dictionary is organized by subject, sequentially divided into seven major categories: General Religion (General Overview of Religion), Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism, Other Religions, and Other. Each major category is further subdivided into smaller categories for easier reference. The classification in this dictionary is solely for the convenience of readers and does not represent any academic system. Entries with multiple meanings are presented in separate sections marked with ①, ②, ③, ④, etc. The asterisk () in the explanations indicates that the word following it has a dedicated entry for reference. Translations follow the most commonly accepted conventions. Where transliterations differ but are still in common use, they are retained based on the principle of convention. Historical dates: Ancient Chinese entries use traditional dates with corresponding Common Era annotations; modern entries (after the Opium War in 1840) use Common Era dates, with traditional dates added when necessary; foreign entries are uniformly presented in Common Era dates.
